holy crapolla guys - just been catching up on your exploits since Saturday!
ReplyDeleteWell done and keep going - just think of that first pint and then warm bath and a clean bed!
The weather has been pretty rotten today and i just cannot imagine how you can even think of running/sailing - it took all my energy to put the bin out!!
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well for the run.
I am glad you have gin to keep you going - well David on holiday it is very common for us to sit looking over the water with a glass of gin - almost the same? no?
You will need to give everyone a rendition of the bali boys to set the mood!!
Love J xx
I thought that I posted a blog earlier pledging more money but not sure if it got through .... I guess I forgot to remove the 'Aberdeen' stinge filter. Anyhoe ... as I see it you have all been willing to go through hell and high water ??!! and in recognition I will double my donations to the charities .. I have had quite a few glasses of wine ... bring it home guys Badger
ReplyDeleteHello from Kirsty and myself, just left Ayr a few hours ago (tennis rained off again) and the sky was black and rain falling steadily....you guys are doing so well and we are most impressed...maybe this calls for another Cafe Andaluz night in the near future to celebrate your achievements ! At least you have the gin on board, always useful. Not long to go now, take care.
ReplyDeleteEvelyn (and Kirsty...her laptop has packed up!)
Unbelievable guys - but did you manage to see Eurovision?! Norway won (again!). I thought my weekend in a wigwam was adventurous! Keep going guys...
ReplyDeleteOne last push guys!! Blog's been tremendous as have your valiant efforts. Big congrats on all you've achieved so far.....and what's yet to come. Take care!
ReplyDeleteDavid - spoke to Mum this morning (I passed on a Happy Birthday from you - flowers "en route" etc etc). She's been on the blog, as has Big Ger & Ems. All very proud! ;)
Caroline, the chap from Norway was quite handsome ! At least the UK didn't get 'nil points'...came 5th which is quite respectable.

I see Chris Upson (last years winner) has blogged about why they abandoned this time around:

And the Salomon team, who were making an attempt on the record, also abandoned:

Which just underlines your achievement.
Also, I believe this is you?

Another retiring team here too (full report to come) ...
